The C-80 is a large diapohragm cardioid condenser microphone suitable for vocal and spoken recording applications. It uses the same capsule as in the C-100 and using the same material as the C-800G for the diaphragm. The dual diaphragm configuration suppresses sound characteristics changes with distance (proximity effect), enabling a uniform recording. The special “Noise Elimination Construction” taken from the C-800G and C-100 prevents acoustic vibration resulting in low noise and a clear sound.
