The Valvet X Pure Cardioid is a cardioid only version of the Valvet. The “pure cardioid” series was started in late 2008 instill the essence of Brauner successful tube microphones into new models with a cardioid pattern only. Keeping the well-known high-class look & feel, these new microphones show their exceptional qualities in solo recordings and achieve an even better self noise due to their fixed pattern. Their attractive price appeals to home studio enthusiasts all the way to the most demanding audio purists who do not require the variable patterns offered in the classic models, and simultaneously make no compromises in sound quality.
