Ball

Type:

Polar patterns:

Common name: Blue Ball

Production Status: Discontinued / Vintage

The Ball is a dynamic microphone element allied to a phantom-powered amplifier. The cardioid dynamic transducer uses Class A discrete component electronics to give a consistent load irrespective of frequency and the behaviour of the console microphone amplifier. The acoustic balance is superior to conventional dynamic microphones yet retains the advantage of a dynamic microphone as far as exceptionally high sound pressure levels are concerned. It is recommended for both vocal and instrumental use.
