Opus 56

Common name: Beyerdynamic Opus 56

Production Status: Discontinued / Vintage

The Opus 56 is a condenser microphone (back electret) with headband. It meets all requirements of a good vocals microphone. The Opus 56 has a cardioid polar pattern which means a high gain before feedback can be achieved, it also helps eliminate background noise. The flexible gooseneck allows optimum positioning of the microphone and due to the angled form of the microphone it can be placed to the side of the mouth for maximum intelligibility. The Opus 56 is ideal for entertainers, singing dancers, drummers and keyboard players.
Bare ended, Lemo (for phantom adaptor), Mini-XLR and 3.5mm jack versions are available.
