The MC 740 is a multi-pattern large diaphragm condenser microphone switchable between omnidirectional, wide cardioid, cardioid, hyper-cardioid and figure of eight pickup patterns. The optional MSG 740 power supply allows for the remote switching of the microphone polar patterns. It can power two microphones. The MC 740 is ideal for as a main microphone for recording orchestras as well as close pickup of both instruments and vocals or speech. The microphone is equipped with a 10 dB attenuation pad and a selectable 80 Hz or 160 Hz low-cut filter.
