The B87i is a multipattern condenser microphone. It is a re-creation of the vintage U87 produced from 1967 to 1986 featuring original NOS 2N3819 Fets . All switching is internal to the microphones structure to keep self-noise to a minimum. The microphone is switchable between omnidirectional, cardioid and bidirectional, it is equipped with a – 10 dB attenuation pad and low-cut filter. Includes shock-mount and protective case.
