U891RbO

Common name: Audio-Technica U891RbO

Production Status: In production

The U891RbO is a permanently polarised omnidirectional boundary condenser microphone featuring a touch-sensitive capacitive-type user switch that can be set to three modes: touch on/off, touch to talk, and touch to mute. The microphone can be fitted with interchangeable hypercardioid (UE-H) and cardioid (UE-C) condenser elements available separately. The U891RbO is equipped with a PivotPoint® rotating output connector allowing the cable to exit from either the rear or the bottom of the microphone, a two-state RGB LED status indicator, a UniSteep® 80 Hz low cut filter and UniGuard® RFI-shielding technology for outstanding rejection of radio frequency interference (RFI) and also features heavy die-cast case and silicon foam bottom pads to minimise coupling of surface vibration to the microphone. The microphone is phantom powered and has self-contained electronics. It can be mounted with screws if needed via threaded inserts on the bottom of the microphone.
