The U851Rb is a permanently polarised cardioid boundary condenser microphone offering excellent speech intelligibility and transparent sound quality for surface-mount applications such as high-quality sound reinforcement, professional recording, television, conferencing. The microphone can be fitted with interchangeable hypercardioid and omnidirectional condenser elements available separately. The U851Rb is equipped with a PivotPoint® rotating output connector allowing the cable to exit from either the rear or the bottom of the microphone, UniSteep® filter and UniGuard® RFI-shielding technology for outstanding rejection of radio frequency interference (RFI) and features heavy die-cast case and silicon foam bottom pads to minimise coupling of surface vibration to the microphone. The microphone is phantom powered and has self-contained electronics. It can be mounted with screws if needed via threaded inserts on the bottom of the microphone. The U851 is available in black (U851Rb) and white (U851RWb).
