The AT8022 is an updated version of the AT822 and 825 microphones. It is a coincident X/Y stereo design suitable for hand-held or camera-top use. The microphone can be used in both balanced and unbalanced modes. Phantom powering requires the former but battery powering can be used in either mode. Max SPL with battery power is reduced by 8 dB. Typical (alkaline) battery life is 700 hours (0.7mA drain). Stereo balance <2.5 dB.
