The AT4060a is a large dual diaphragm cardioid tube condenser microphone. It is ideal for vocal and instrument recordings, including high SPL sound sources like guitar cabinets. The AT4060a features a 2-micron thick vapour-deposited gold diaphragm that goes through a five step ageing process to maintain optimum characteristics over time and a hand-selected, tested and aged tube. The regulated and filtered heater current supply avoid noise contamination within the audio path. The AT4060a features a large coupling transformer for excellent low frequency linearity. The microphone includes the AT8560a tube microphone powering unit, the AT8447 shock mount for 5/8″-27 threaded stands, rack-mount adapters for tube microphone powering unit and protective mic carrying case.
