The AE2500-c is a dual-element design with dynamic and back-electret condenser elements fitted into a single housing. Designed with kick drums in mind the elements are positioned in a perfect phase relationship, the dynamic delivering the aggressive attack and the condenser capturing the tonalities of the shell The outputs are not combined and are available individually on an XLR-5M.The pad and HPF operate only on the condenser element. Specifications shown are for the condenser element – see AE2500-d for the dynamic capsule spec.
