The 44-CX 25LE is a 25th anniversary limited edition of the standard production R44 ribbon microphone. It recreates the famous 1936 RCA44 design following original schematics and a custom 1:32 Cinemag transformer and inductor combination. The 3-position switch allows selection between M (Music), V1 (gentle high-pass filter for distant voice pickup) and V2 (aggressive hiogh-pass for proximity effect reduction with close voice pickup). The 44-CX 25LE fetures an amber grey case, brushed satin plated finish, RCA-inspired logo badge, brown cabling, age-tinted grille and bronze investment-cast yoke finished in satin nickel.
