The 827A is a miniature electret condenser cardioid microphone, permanently attached to an ultra-slim goose-neck, with built-in circuitry for phantom powering. The 827A has a controlled low frequency roll off, smooth mid-range, and slightly peaked upper range for optimal speech intelligibility. The cardioid polar pattern minimises feedback, reverberation, off-axis coloration, background noise and placement problems. It is available with a 17 inch goose-neck (model 827A-17) or a 13 inch goose-neck (model 827A-13). The microphone is supplied with a miniature windscreen to control wind noiseand breath “pop” during close talk situation and an A3M connector at the equipment end of the goose-neck. It is ideal for conference, meeting rooms, paging, intercom systems, lectern and courtrooms.
