The 551 is a rugged dual impedance microphone for industrial use with a lever-operated push-to-talk DPDT switch, semi-directional polar pattern and frequency response tailored towards voice pickup. The microphone is wired for low impedance operation but can be changed tohih impedance if needed. The internal parts of the microphone are sealed against moisture and the phousing is made of high impact plastic with external stainless steel parts.
