The D 202E Boom is a special TV and film stage version of the D 202. It features two capsules, one fron and one rear facing arranged back to back in a special H4 suspension mount. Includes shock-mount, front and rear windscreens. 15″ MK series cable.

The D 202 is a classic and easily identifiable design that uses twin dynamic capsules to sense high and low frequency audio. A cross-over network is used to merge the two signals. Unusually the LF entry point is at the base of the stem and there is a rear wind shielding grid as well as the more obvious sintered bronze front grille. The back-to-front ratio of 20dB is substantially constant and the microphone does not suffer proximity effect.
