The C 505E is a cardioid microphone, part of the C 500 system. A combination of the SE-5E powering module and CE 5 electret condenser capsule. It is ideal for hand held vocalist’s studio recording and live stage applications. The capsule has an integral shock-mount, windscreenbuilt-in IC preamplifier and connects to the power module with battery. The SE-5E module contains a compartment and on/off switch for a PX-23.6-volt mercury photographic battery, a DC regulating and filtering network , an audio output transformer, and a 3-pin XLR male connector. It can operate up to 550 continuous hours on battery or up to 1000 hours intermittently. When phantom powered the module’s on-off switch is bypassed while its regulating filter network protects the microphone from reverse-voltage damage. Includes SA-11/1 stand adapter, w-20 windscreen, 4.6 m cable and foam-lined carrying case.
