The C 451EB is the original preamplifier for the CMS system. It was usually fitted with a CK 1 capsule but various others such as the CK 9 long rifle could also be used. The E variant was about 20 mm shorter than the EB and had no bass attenuator. The preamp bandwidth was 5 Hz- 30 kHz. The output circuitry used a transformer.
