The AKG C 424 is a Quadraphonic condenser microphone equipped with two large diaphragm CK12 capsules and a FET amplification circuit. It has four outputs, one from the front and one from the back of each capsules grouped in two pairs. The first capsule is fixed while the second swivels through an angle of 0º and 180º. This provides in diagonally opposed outputs (Left Front & Right Front, Right Front and Left Back) fixed in 180º opposition while the included angle between the two pairs (Left Front/Right Back and Right Front/Left Back  is adjustable). The C 424 ha s a switchable – 10 dB or – 20 dB attenuation pad between the capsules output and the amplifiers inputs. Includes 20 m MK-42-20 cable, breakout box, W-42 windscreen, H-15/9 suspension mount with stand adapter and foam-lined carrying case.
