The WA87-R2 is a large diaphragm multi-pattern FET condenser microphone switchable between omnidirectional, cardioid and figure of eight polar responses. It uses NOS Fairchild transistors, Wima polystyrene and film capacitors and a custom-wound USA Cinemag transformer. The WA-87R2 features a 10 dB attenuation pad and an 80 Hz low-cut filter. It is ideal for vocals, drum overheads, acoustic and electric guitars, piano, brass and strings. This updated R2 version of the original WA-87 has an updated basket shape and a heavier and larger nickel-plated brass body. Include wooden storage case, hard mount and shock mount. It is available in nickel or black finish.
