The V14 is a variable voltage large diaphragm valve condenser microphone. It is the mono, single capsule version of the V24. It is equipped with a BeesNeez CK-12 capsule, a vintage GE6972A tube and a custom wound Cinemag transformer. The tube voltage can be adjusted up or down via a dedicated control providing extra tonal shaping. It also features three switchable voicing for “12”, “251” or “ribbon” high-frequency response. The power supply features extra filtering stages and provides switching between 9 polar patterns. The 9-position switch on the power supply allows for over or under-supply of the tube’s plate. The V14 is ideal for vocals, drum overhead, piano, acoustic guitar, strings, orchestral recording, room microphone, horns, brass, woodwinds and percussion. Includes PS-24 power supply, padded pinewood microphone box, VSLM large shock-mount with aerospace-grade suspension rings, SKB i-series waterproof carry case, 7-pin microphone cable with Neutrik™ connectors and IEC power cable.
