The M+2/U is a ceramic microphone for mobile communication applications with a built-in two-stage silicon transistor amplifier. The output is controlled by a calibrated ten-position volume control located on the upper rear case housing. The amplifier provides a gain of 15 dB over conventional ceramic microphones and is powered by a 7-volt mercury battery. The M+2/U is wired for relay switching with three conductor shielded cable.
