The BETA 91 is a hemi-cardioid pattern instrument microphone. It has a frequency response shaped specifically for kick drums and similar instruments and is intended for close use. It has the ability to cope with extremely high SPL. With a 2.5 kΩ load the Max SPL is increased to 160dB. Replaced by the BETA 91A.
