Common name: Shure 530

Production Status: Discontinued / Vintage

The 530 is a slender dynamic omnidirectional microphone. It can be used hand-held, on a desk stand and as a lavalier microphone with the adjustable cord. It is the deluxe broadcast version of the 535 Slendyne. The 530 is ideal for wide-range reproduction of music and voice. The microphone is ideal for high quality public address, theatre stage sound systems, and all recording applications where an omni-directional microphone may be desired. It is especially recommended for “interview” type use where “hand-ability” of the microphone is important. It may be used for either a single performer, a dialogue, a group, orchestra-practically all individual and group applications, studio broadcasting, TV use, and similar applications where high-quality pickup is desired. Impedance is switchable between high and low. The centre position between the High and Low impedance settings switches off the microphone output. The microphone is sturdly built to withstand hard usage and is unaffected by temperature and humidity variations. Includes 20-foot, Swivel adapter, two-conductor shielded cable, deluxe lavalier cord, belt clip and on-off switch adapter.
