The Shure 51 is a general purpose omnidirectional microphone ideal for voice and instruments pickup in public address, and recording applications. It is also well-suited for close-talking without any proximity effect. Impedance is selectable between High, Mid and Low. It has a built-in receptacle and a 15-foot, two conductor shielded cable with microphone plug attached. The 51S version features an on/off switch.
