Common name: Sennheiser MKH 8070
Production Status: In production
The MKH 8070 is a long shotgun RF condenser microphone designed for distant sources. It is ideal for broadcast applications, especially sports events. The off-axis sounds are attenuated without introducing colouration. It has a transformer-less balanced, very low self noise output and is whether-proof. The optional Sennheiser MZD 8000 module can be used to turn the MKH 8070 into a digital microphone. The sound timbre is identical to the other microphones in the 8000 series. Includes microphone clip, foam windshield and threaded transport tube.
