The MKE 400 is a miniature shotgun microphone for camera-top use. It has a hot-shoe mount and an integral shock mount as well as a foam windshield. Sensitivity is switchable to allow level matching to various cameras. Listed figures are for maximum sensitivity. At minimum (8mV/Pa) the self-noise is 21dBA and the max SPL is 126dB. Battery life is listed as 300h. An alternative XLR output cable is available (Professional Kit) but the output remains unbalanced.
