The Podcaster is a dynamic side-address studio microphone with USB output. The shock-mounted capsule uses a neodymium magnet assembly and the 18bit A/D is powered from the USB port. The Podcaster has a bult-in pop filter to minimise plosives. The signal to noise is given as 78dB. Sampling rates of 8 – 48kHz are supported and 3.5mm jack headphone monitor socket (with volume control) is fitted for zero-latency monitoring. The Podcaster is ideal for podcasting, vodcasting, YouTube videos, voice recognition software, corporate videos, voice-overs. It can be used as an iPad microphone for the Apple iPad (in conjunction with the iPad Camera Connection Kit and a powered USB hub) to provide high quality recording to various iPad audio applications. It is fully compatible with Windows 7, Windows 8 and Mac OS X computers, as well as several Linux distributions. The microphone is bus powered and features a status LED to indicate operation. Includes 3 m USB cable and RM2 stand mount.
