The P-248 is a large diaphragm vacuum tube multi pattern condenser microphone styled after the original U47. The capsule is a 34 mm single back-plate with dual 3 micron gold sputtered Mylar diaphragms. The P-248 amplification circuit is based around a 6072A vacuum tube and features both a 10 dB attenuation pad and a low-cut filter. It is switchable between omnidirectional and figure of eight with nine intermediate patterns. The P-248 is ideal for vocals and instrument recording including brass, drums and guitar amplifiers. Includes wooden box, MX-56 power supply, 8-pin microphone cable, shock-mount and flight case. Matched pairs are available on request.
