Common name: Peluso Microphone Lab P-24

Production Status: In production

The P-24 is a large diaphragm stereo tube condenser microphone equipped with two 32 mm edge-terminated P-CK-12 capsules, a 6072AM vacuum tube amplifier stage and dual custom-wound T14/ output transformers. The P-24 hosts two complete microphones within a single body. The capsules are located directly above each other with the upper capsule capable of rotating 180 degrees. This allows for coincident XY, Mid-Side and Blumlein recording setups. Both capsules have nine independently selectable polar patterns remotely controlled via the power supply. The two capsules run to two separate amplifier boards using a single 6072AM tube. The P-24 has a better low end compared to the P-12 as the tube grid is biased differently as well as a fuller top end as the anode is grounded differently. Includes stereo power supply, 12-pin locking microphone cable, shock-mount and locking padded flight case.
