ELM-B

Common name: Pearl ELM-B

Production Status: In production

The ELM-B is s large diaphragm capacitor microphone using an unusual linear rectangular capsule with a 7:1 length/width ratio. This technique reduces diaphragm resonances but also gives a large surface area and therefore a high intrinsic output level. The lateral HF response is excellent. The response is flat and gives a consistent figure-of-eight pattern. The ELM-B can be used in Blumlein or (with the ELM-C) MS stereo configurations.
