Common name: Neumann KMS 105

Production Status: In production

The KMS 105 is a handheld supercardioid condenser microphone offering low self-noise and uncoloured off-axis sound pickup, tailored for sound reinforcement applications. The microphone employs a unique four-layer acoustic filter to minimise popping and wind noise. The KMS 105 also features a fixed low-cut filter to compensate for proximity effect build-up in close miking applications. Although aimed primarily at stage vocal applications, the KMS 105 is also suitable for percussion, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, harmonica, acoustic guitar and guitar amplifier cabinets. Includes neoprene sleeve and microphone stand clamp.
