The MXL 4000 is a large diaphragm class A FET condenser microphone featuring three switchable polar patterns: Cardioid, Omnidirectional and Figure of Eight. The 4000 is ideal for recording vocals, stringed instruments and brass. The microphone is internally wired with Mogami cable and is equipped with both a switchable low cut filter and a 10 dB pad. The MXL 4000 includes a mahogany coloured case, shock mount and custom foam windscreen.
