The N151 is an instrumentation-style microphone but fitted with a pressure-gradient capsule. The design is large-diaphragm (23.8 mm) and the diaphragm is a nickel one. The response is (a fairly wide) cardioid and the metal diaphragm design allows exceptionally high SPLs.
