The UM 705 is a multi pattern medium diaphragm cardioid FET transformer coupled condenser microphone. It uses a 19 mm internally shock-mounted capsule with a single brass backplate and dual gold plated PVC diaphragms. It is switchable between omnidirectional, super-cardioid, cardioid and figure of eight. It has a 10 dB and 20 dB attenuation pad and a 130 Hz high-pass filter to minimise proximity effect. The UM 705 can be used with either the N 691 or N 692 power supply units. Approximately 400 units were produced produced between 1983 and 1990.
