Common name: Microtech Gefell M73

The M 73 is a long shotgun capsule produced between 1975 and 1989. It is part of the SMS (Studio Microphone System) 70 series. It can be used with the M 690, MV 691 and MV 692 preamplifier bodies as well as the M 582 equipped with screw mount thread. It was developed by Siegfried Thiersch then development engineer at Gefell (RTF VEB MTG). The Radio version was called M 99.
