The PortaMic PRO is a head-shape style of surround microphone with a small size intended for use on video cameras and microphone stands. The output is hardware encoded to Dolby ProLogic II format to allow recording on a standard stereo input. The outputs are unbalanced. The more expensive Pro version has an audio zoom feature which reduces the rear surround capsules and places the focus further towards the front C channel. This also has additional balanced connectors. Battery life for both is given as 3 hours.
