The M22RP is a stereo Mis-Side (M/S) printed ribbon microphone. It combines a cardioid capsule with a bidirectional element to capture a stereo soundfield. The stereo field can be adjusted by connecting the three microphone cables to a mixer or by using either an active matrix box such as the Fostex P400 or a passive one. The M22RP doesn’t need powering as it is a passive ribbon microphone with the sound qualitiy of a condenser. It is ideal for broadcasting, stereo announcing, interviewing, ENG and on-location work. Additional applications include instruments recording such as drums, piano and vibes. The microphone has an integrated 3 metre cable terminated with a 5 pin XLR connector. Includes microphone box, hand holding grip for outdoor sound pickup and windscreen. and 3 way cable adapter for standard mixer connection. The M22RP was developed in conjuction with the NHK Technical Laboratory.
