The V4 is a bidirectional ribbon velocity microphone designed for broadcasting and recording applications. It features a very light 0.00023″ duralumin element with an inner screen for durability and wind protection during outdoor use. The ribbon assembly is suspended from the frame in a shock-proof mounting. The non-welded circuit features powerful AlnicoV magnets combined with Armco soft magnetic iron pole pieces and the hydrogen annealed nickel alloy transformer is mounted in a aluminium housing for maximum shielding. A woven screen protects the ribbon element without distorting the sound waves and at the sane time eliminating the cavity resonance. The V4 is equipped with an on/off switch and a variable impedance switch providing settings for Hi-z (25.000 ohm), 50 ohm, 200 ohm and 500 ohm. The microphone is finished in baked black crystal and chromium. Includes lockable steel reinforced cradle mount, swivel and 6′ shielded cable.
