Common name: Earthworks Audio P30/HC
Production Status: In production
Designed to provide an ultra flexible miking option, the P30/HC is ideal for choir miking, and can easily transition to miking a wide range of acoustic and electric instruments. Thanks to its flexible gooseneck, the P30/HC provides extra movement when trying to find the right spot. Instead of having to reposition the whole microphone or mic stand, the gooseneck can be flexed to quickly reposition the microphone. The P30/HC’s near-perfect hypercardioid polar pattern is consistent across all frequencies, simplifying mic placement, ensuring more gain before feedback and virtually eliminating phasing issues when using multiple microphones. With over 30 dB of rear rejection the P30/HC is ideal for live performances or recording environments where there may be bleed from surrounding instruments. Handling up to 139 dB SPL without distortion, it is nearly impossible to overload the P30/HC, even with the loudest sources.
