The V55 is a multi-pattern tube condenser microphone, featuring an oversize dual-back-plate, 6-micron Mylar, gold-sputtered 35 mm capsule. Front and rear sides of the capsule are matched to within 1 dB in sensitivity. The V55 has 9 selectable polar patterns which include omni, cardioid, figure-8 and 6 intermediate. The tube pre-amplifier circuit uses a hand selected EH 6072a vacuum tube and a Lundahl LL1935 output transformer. It is ideal for acoustic & electric guitars, vocals, horns, strings, banjo, mandolin, dobro drums (overhead). Includes 15′ Mogami Neglex 3172 microphone cable fitted w/Neutrik 7-pin XLR connectors, custom vintage style power supply, Pangea Audio AC 14SE MKII Signature Power Cable – 2 Meter w/ Cardas Grade One Copper center conductor, leatherette storage pouch, tweed flight case and Electro Harmonix 6072/12AY7 EH 6072A/12AY7 spare vacuum tube.
