Like all Brauner microphones, the Valvet is handmade in Germany. It offers the same capsule and circuitry design as the VM1 and has two switchable polar characteristics – omni and cardioid. It is fitted with a custom-made Lundahl transformer. Both a ground lift switch and a phase invert switch are provided.
