The Beyerdynamic M 201 is an end-addressed, “pencil”-style microphone with a relatively unusual (for its type) hypercardioid pattern and a broad published frequency response of 40Hz – 18kHz. A very sensitive dynamic microphone with an integral humbucking transformer to eliminate mains-borne interference when working near computer monitors.
