The B87i C is a large diaphragm cardioid-only condenser microphone based around a NOS 2N3819 FET and a strip wound MU toroidal transformer with a ratio of 9.5:1. The microphone draws inspiration from the classic U87i. It was initially available in two body versions where the white one has a slightly more pronounced proximity effect than the black one due to grille differences. From 2024 only the black one is available. Includes studio series shock-mount. Producer series shock-mount and wooden box are optionally available.
