The AT4049b is a small diaphragm omnidirectional condenser microphone. The microphone is transformer-less and uses a directly coupled balanced output for a clean undistorted signal across the whole frequency spectrum even in high output conditions. The AT4049b features a 80Hz high pass filter and a 10dB pad. It is ideal for recording acoustic instruments including all acoustic and classical guitars, orchestra, choir, orchestral sections, percussion and drum overheads. The microphone comes with the AT8405a stand clamp for 5/8″-27 threaded stands, windscreen and protective carrying case. The AT4049b consists of two modular subassemblies: an AT4900b-48 body and an AT4049b-EL omnidirectional head capsule (both available separately). Additional interchangeable capsules are available in cardioid (AT4051b-EL) and hypercardioid (AT4053b-EL).
