The 555 is a ceramic microphone for communication applications featuring 360º differential cancellations of background noises and an integrated FET amplifier and press-to-talk switch, high impact plastic housing and extra long cord with strain relief and metal hang-up button. The 557 version has a 6 conductor cable for universal hook-up applications. It is powered by a 7 volt battery.
