M-40
Common name: Applied Microphone Technolgy M-40
Production Status: In production
The M-40 was designed for piano but works equally well in other applications, such as boundary layer (conference, stage). This model takes a bold new direction for microphones incorporating integrated circuit technology: an interchangeable clip to allow for multi-purpose use, emulating many popular microphones but with the advantages of its ultra-compact size. It is capable of picking up subtle passages as well as withstanding sound pressure levels up to 141dB.
The M-40B can be optionally battery-powered.
