The Apex 580 multi-pattern is a large diaphragm condenser microphone. Three selectable polar patterns (cardioid, omnidirectional and figure-8), three position low frequency roll-off (selectable flat, 75 Hz and 150 Hz) and three position ( 0, -10 and -15 dB) pad switch ensure the Apex 580 can easily be applied to virtually any source. The Apex 580’s is ideal for solo vocals, but it is also well suited for solo brass or woodwind instruments, acoustic guitars or acoustic bass. The included external heavy duty cradle-mount suspension virtually eliminates vibration and handling noise, while at the same time safely securing the microphone in any position needed during the recording process.
