C 12

Common name: AKG C 12

Production Status: Discontinued / Vintage

The C 12 is a large dual edge-terminated diaphragm tube condenser microphone for recording and broadcasting applications offering nine selectable polar patterns. The different pick-up responses can be selected from the S 12 remote control unit with no changes in freequency response or sensitivity. This is connected to the N 12 power supply unit via the RL 12 control cable while the microphone connects to the PSU via an MK 12 cable. The circuit is based around a 12AY7/6072 vacuum tube and a V2148 output transformer. It was produced from 1953 to circa 1963. Includes microphone case, S 12 Remote Control unit, N 12 Power Supply, 10 m RL 12  cable and 20 m MK 12 cable with integrated stand adapter.
