CMV 4
Common name: Microtech Gefell CMV 4
Production Status: Discontinued / Vintage
The CMV 4 was the first microphone produced after the factory was moved to Gefell between late 1942 and early 1943. Literally a compact tin bread box powered by an external power supply, it used two RV12P2000 vacuum tubes and originally came with an omnidirectional 026/2 capsule mounted on the front. A year later a CMV 4 II had a single RV12P2000 vacuum tube and a M5 capsule. In late 1943 a “Flasche” (Bottle) CMV 4a version followed with a M 7 capsule mounted on top again with two vacuum tubes. The last two variants, CMV 4a II and the extremely rare CMV 4 S had both a single RVP2000 vacuum tube and M 7, M 8 or M 9 bayonet mount capsules. Requires N4 power supply.
