The M 69 is a small diaphragm gold plated PVC capsule with an omnidirectional polar pattern. It is a close-field pickup capsule first produced in 1972. It is part of the SMS (Studio Microphone System) 70 series. It can be used with the M 690, MV 691 and MV 692 preamplifier bodies as well as the M582 equipped with screw mount thread. The Radio varian was named M 97.
